Well the week ended with a boxing and riding session on Saturday, while my husband was at home doing the garage sale and selling all my junk.
The weather was hot on Saturday, but I ended up working for the rest of the day.
Sunday I woke up sore in the pectoral muscle and shoulders and feared the worst. Ooooohhhh no I cant ski.
Went over to the neighbours house he stirred me up, so we all (our family and his family) went out to the river (Murray). Wayne our neigbour took us to a spot that we have never been too before. It was pretty cool as it was protected from the weather.
So anyway, I was too scared to go for the first ski incase i couldnt get up, so my husband graciously took the first spot.
It was my turn, the water was beautiful and yipeeeeeeeee I got up first go. not to say I didnt crash twice, but I got the first ski for the season off my back.
BRING IT ON. I cant wait for the next ski. I need to work on technique so the next ski will be all about that i think.

My New Road Bike

Well I am write into the exercise regime and am loving workin out. One of my friends has joined me on my 4 days a weeks torture with my personal trainer. Surprisingly she is enjoying it and i am enjoying her joining me.
We are both at two different levels of fitness. Her claim is she is fat and lazy. She isnt that bad. She has done a good job to keep up with me considering i have had 4 weeks of intense training up on her.
Well I decided after years and years to by a KICK arse road bike. I used to ride heaps and heaps when i was a teenager. In fact to ride 20 or 30km was nothing. But with work and living in the city it fizzled out. Well now i am back in the country and committed I have got right back into it.
so here she is my pride and joy. i have gone so over the top i have the pants the top the cleats and the shoes. I keep telling everyone its an investment. If i dont use it my husband will probably kill me.
I am going to go on a 50km circuit on the weekend, so i will let you know how that pans out.Friday, October 10, 2008
I am back an there is no stopping me
Today is the end of week 4 of working with a personal trainer.
I committed to 4 sessions a week with her (3 x30min and 1 x 1hr). I have also committed to 2 -3 days on my own.
I am always very excited about going to training even though I cop a flogging every session.
I was away for work during the week and was lucky where I was staying had a gym but I was spewing that i missed my Tuesday morning session.
So on Wednesday when i got back even though i was sleep dperived i went in for a session.
In three weeks I have lost 2% Body Fat and 12.cm in total with the biggest loss around the hips and stomach.
I havent lost any weight which makes me a little sad as I am desperate to shed 8kgs by the 14th December.
I keep a food diary and my calories a good my fat intake in a bit up and dowm and dont talk to me about my carbs and protein.
I decided i needed nutironal help and strarted scouring the web for that help and would you believe it found Jenny Craig. Not only will i be eating a balanced diet. When the time comes that I no longer need to eat there food i will go through a transition back to my own food and have plans tailored to suit me.
Not only that i have 7 years of support, so if i derail again I can call for help. The best thing of all if I keep within 2kg of my goal weight after 12mths they well refund me 50%. OOOOeeee what a deal.
I remember when my mum was on Jenny Craig - oooh yuk. the food was foul she yoyoed all over the place. i can wait for the next 8 weeks as with my training and the right nutrition I am going to kick butt.
Stay tuned. I will post my monthly measurements.

Slowly But Surely
I have had an up and down week, but have still managed all my workout and recovery day workouts.
My recovery days have been really good. I am doing a bike ride - 10km in 20minutes, a personal best as well as boxing with my husband. The boxing tested me out. In fact my arms were burning by the end and the muscle in my neck and shoulder are so tight i ended up with a killer headache. I however remained positive and got through my workouts.
I am going really well with my calorie intake, but not so well with the fat intake. I am aiming for 30g a day. The lowest was 31.5g and the highest so far is 44g. Hopefully by the end of the week I will have it under control.
I am waiting for my Rollerblades to come in the mail and am going to incorporate this into my recovery days (hopefully with no broken limbs). I would love to run, but shin splints are preventing this at the moment. Running on the treadmill is fine, but not on the road. Doesnt matter you just have to adapt I suppose.

Week 3 - Just getting started
It was the Queens birthday weekend here in Oz, so three days off. I am pleased to day, I got through the whole weekend without drinking or cheating.
I started the weekend with an hour of running around kicking the football down at the park. I seemed to be doing all the running however. After that I was stuffed and decided to do a workout that night. workout was tough but got through it. My legs were shattered, so instead of the 30minutes of high intensity cardio I did 5km of bike riding at a cracking pace. I did it in 10mins and 15 seconds. best result ever. Lets just say after that walking was a problem
I had a quiet day yesterday, but made sure a did a small amount of exercise - 20 minutes with the football again.
Going really well, I am certainly starting to work muscle groups that havent been worked ever.
I am feeling good - the desire for sweet stuff is starting to subside, I just have to remember to have some snacks when i am at home on the weekend as I get to around 5pm and want to eat a horse (so to speak)
Got my exercise bike the other day and picked up another DB bar - so i didnt have to keep stealing my husbands. So I am pretty set now.
I will try to get some picks of the gym and post them.
